How I lost – Magwagwa

By Starsky Mkhonta

MAGWAGWA Mdluli who lost his bid for a parliamentary seat in Mbilaneni has pointed accusing fingers at some traditional leaders in that area.

The suspicion emanates from the participation of some of the leaders in the same election.

These include the Umphakatsi Governor Thami Thikazi, Garnet Kunene, who is the leader of the regiments in the area, Rogers Matsebula who is the head of zone leaders and also assistant to the Indvuna, Professor Sipho Hamilton Simelane who was the eventual winner of the primary elections who is in the Umphakatsi board of governors.

Mdluli further accuses other elements, whom he said, were not even part of the Mdluli clansmen yet they wanted him out.

"I have no hard feelings though. I'm going ahead with my life," boasts Mdluli.

He also brings along the name of the chief whom he said contributed to his 'downfall'.

Governor Thami Thikazi, dismissed all the claims by Magwagwa as sour grapes.

"One should expect a loss or a win and Magwagwa should know better. He has to accept defeat just like we all have accepted it without making any excuses," said Thikazi.
