Retired principal wins at KaDlovunga

By Starsky Mkhonta

RETIRED Nyamane High School Principal Anthony Khumalo has won the primary elections at KaDlovunga Umphakatsi.

He amassed 358 votes. He is now to face stiff competition from Professor Hamilton Sipho Simelane of Mbilaneni chiefdom, Mduduzi 'Small Joe' Dlamini of Vusweni chiefdom and Peter Mthunzi of Masibini chiefdom, all who qualified for the last lap of the elections slated for September 19.

Meanwhile, at Mbangweni chiefdom, former MP Enos Vilane was sent packing as one Mildred Mkhabela, a nurse by profession, won the primary elections to qualify for the next round.

Mkhabela is now pitted against Benedict Xaba of Mahlalini chiefdom and Strydom Mpanza of Mkhitsini and Bong'musa Dlamini of Mathendele Township.

These aspiring MPs are to stand for the secondary elections under Mbangweni Inkhundla.

At KaGwegwe chiefdom, the former MP Gibson 'Cracker' Hlophe emerged the winner, as he recorded a convincing 651 votes to qualify for the next round.

His counterpart at Shiselweni I Vusi Sithole has crashed out as former Masiphula High School Principal Future Ntshangase emerged the winner at Mabonabulawe Umphakatsi.
