ALL IS WELL AT LOBAMBA

LOBAMBA—The primary elections went well at the polling stations around Lobamba as the voters were patient enough to wait their turn under the blistering sun.

Ezulwini residents came in their thousands to vote and even as late as 8pm the voting process was still ongoing.

At Elangeni where Times Assistant News Editor Senzo Dlamini is also contesting a tent had been provided outside the voting centre so that voters would be spared from the heat.

Dlamini and the other contestants who include Alson Dlamini, Obed Mavuso and Lindiwe Mndzebele sat inside the polling room. It was not the case at Lobamba Lomdzala Inkhundla where outspoken ex-MP Marwick Khumalo and socialite Mandla Dlamini popularly known as DJ Nice are battling it out.

The voters had to endure hours of being under the sun as the voting process seemed to take forever.

Vendors, especially those selling ice block made a killing, as voters purchased one ice after the other to cool themselves.

Khumalo, who was sat with his competitors, was as cool as a cucumber dressed in a grey sweater. Nine people were nominated for the MPs position and two others including a female are Khumalos
